Harpie Lady is a Winged-Beast Card in the popular trading card game Yu-Gi-Oh!. She has also made her appearance in the anime, being listed as the signature monster of talented duelist, Kujaku Mai/Mai Valentine. She appears in the first episode, episode 6 of the series 'The Beautiful Harpie Lady' (The original Japanese title; the dub!title will be up ASAP). There are two versions of the Harpie Lady; the subbed version of Yuugiou displays the Harpie Lady in a rather revealing outfit, while the dubbed version has toned her down greatly, making her wear a body suit. In my opinion, sub!Harpie Lady looks a lot better than the dubbed version. The next version of the Harpie Lady is when Mai has her equipped with the Equip Card 'Cyber Shield'/'Cyber Bondage'; the subbed version displays rather lethal spikes on the breast plate, while the dubbed version removes them. Harpie Lady looks like a cross between a bird and a human, feathers sprouting from her arms to look like wings.
When Mai plays the Magic Card 'Ten Thousand Reflections' or 'Elegant Egotist' (the dub title of the card) on her, Mai's one Harpie Lady becomes three, each with their own look. These three Harpie Ladies are the 'Harpie Lady Sisters' and are quite formidable at 1950 attack points, even more so when you play more Equip Cards on them. There's also 'Harpie Girl' and 'Harpie's Brother' as well. In my opinion, they might as well be apart of that family. The faithful servant of the Harpie Lady is 'Harpie's Pet Dragon'. Whether or not it's male or female (Mai has switched between 'he' and 'she' frequently in episodes, leaving Nero very confused) I can't tell, but that's your opinion. Harpie's Pet Dragon is a level 7 monster, requring 2 sacrifices. Other sacrifices besides Harpie Lady/Harpie Lady Sisters would suffice, since The dragon will get 300 attack points for every Harpie Lady/Harpie Lady Sisters on your side of the field. Of course, in the anime, the 300 attack points came from each Harpie Lady sister.
Harpie Lady has appeared in other Episodes, some of the main ones being Episodes 92 (Battle City), and the filler arc Doma (against Jounouchi). Harpie Lady also appears in a variety of Yuugiou games for the Gameboy, Xbox, Playstation, PS2, and was even given a name in the Gamecube video game 'Falsebound Kingdom'.
